Formosa Oolong tea is neither black tea nor green tea from Taiwan. The tea is referred to as semi-fermented and is harvested 5 times a year.
The leaves are picked and then left to wither in the sun. They are then watched carefully until only the edges of the leaves start to turn brown. The leaves are then rushed into ovens to be fired which stops the oxidisation process and gives the brew a distinctive but pleasant taste.
This tea has a sweet aroma and is ideal with food or as a digestif after meals. Best served without milk.
