JW Coffee Club Coffee of The Month:
January 2021 – Honduran Monte Cristo HGEP
Our offering this month is a dark roasted Honduran High Grown European Preparation (HGEP) coffee.
Honduras has spent many years developing its’ own infrastructure to improve quality for its’ export coffee. Previously it had to sell through the markets in Guatemala, but now has the roads and processing capability to do this for itself.
The result is some of the most exciting new coffees to come onto the market.
Only hand sorted beans are classified as suitable for EP. By selectively improving and blending the main Central American Arabica varieties of coffee plants, the growers are now seeing great improvements in their livelihoods.
The Copan region is rapidly gaining recognition as the best growing area in Honduras, and is now stocked by the major importers in Europe.
If you enjoy the JW Coffee Club coffee this month, then don’t forget you can sign up to our coffee subscription and choose to have it delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
